Eros Flame is a woody-spicy scent for men by the Italian design house Versace. It is also the first interpretation of the super successful Versace Eros, created by Aurelien Guichard in 2012. Two years later, in 2014, his female half Versace Eros Pour Femme appeared.
The perfume is presented as a contemporary interpretation of the neoclassical Psyche sculpture, which captured a moment of closeness between the mythological heroes Cupid, whose twin in ancient Greek mythology is Eros, and Psyche. Author Antonio Kanova presents Cupid as he approaches his beloved to kiss her. Romantic history hints at an exceptional scent created for passionate and romantic moments. The Versace Eros Flame prompts for fiery emotions and gives extra self-confident to men while following their chosen ones.
Perfumer Olivier Pescheux says the composition is based on contrasts. It is described as "sweet and zesty, fresh and cold, light and deep." It expands with energizing aromas of Italian citrus, combined with hot spices. The heart is an intense blend of lush rose and geranium, leading to a long-lasting finish of deep woody chords mixed with soft vanilla and tonka bean.
This time the vial is a deep red with a luxurious gold cap, reinforcing the associations of energy, love, and passion.
